Edison Sault Electric Company Announces Customer Survey

Edison Sault Electric Company (ESE) has retained the services of the LSSU Center for Social Research to conduct a customer satisfaction survey during the month of November.  As in years past, the LSSU Center for Social Research will mail out approximately five thousand surveys to customers served by ESE in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

Customers completing and returning the survey will be able to select from a group of local charities which ESE will then donate one-dollar for each survey received.  Thus, not only will customers be able to voice their opinion about the quality of service provided by ESE, but they will also be able to raise funds for the local charities.

ESE Assistant Vice-President of Systems, Chuck Zane, commented, “The customer satisfaction survey is a valuable tool for determining where and how best to improve our operations.  Customer feedback is very important because we are here to serve and we need to hear if we are doing a good job or need to work harder to do a better job.”

The surveys will be mailed out by LSSU Center for Social Research, and all completed returns will go directly to them.  This is done to assure the anonymity of those responding to the survey.  The survey will include all classes of customers from residential to business, to large industrial, but the majority of the surveys will be mailed to residential customers as they make up the largest part of ESE’s customers.

The selection of customers to be surveyed was done at random and is not based on any service or complaint history.  With almost five thousand surveys being mailed, approximately 20% of all ESE customers will receive the paper surveys.  ESE asks that customers please take this opportunity to provide valuable feedback.  With only seven questions, the survey can be completed in minutes and the return envelope is postage-paid.
